Thank you for the support people gave me whilst developing this project... I came to the realisation that there is a reason online multiplayer fighting games like this usually are made with large teams - It was unrealistic of me to expect myself to be able to make something with such a scope but I do not regret the learning experience this game has been, may Undersmash live on in my subsequent work

Turns out, art takes a while to make, especially for a game.

If I move forward with non-pixel art, I will probably have to make template parts to make animation more consistent and easy. So far I'm quite happy with this, it's a fun process

I think the only significant downside of moving away from pixel art is that it might be harder for people to make community alt costumes.

I'll make some animations today and compare them to their original pixel ones.

Now that I have a drawing tablet, I'm actually really enjoying drawing non-pixel art - it feels so much more freeing.

Everyone expects Undersmash to be pixel art - what if it had a hand-drawn Hollow Knight style instead? Would help it stand out, I think.

AAH how do you gamedevs stop dillydallying working on backend code and just get on with it and make a bloody GAME!! I have tried to work on actual attacks for all of the characters but i just keep REWRITING THE ATTACK SYSTEM!!!

No progress update this month: I have been doing stuff, especially the past few days, but theres not really much for me to show you. I basically rewrote the entire Attack System and I have to redo all of the Human's attacks for the new system.
