A hard lesson I am learning as I go is that the public will almost always judge whatever creations I share as if I'm trying to sell them - even when I'm not.

Perhaps it is due to how saturated and competitive creative spaces are nowadays.

And by "sell" I mean the monetary exchange.

I would never make anyone pay money to interact with my work, but I understand that "selling" can also just mean presenting your product in the best light possible to get them to interact with it.

In this case, I wouldn't say I'm trying to "sell" in any sense, as I willingly trade marketability for creative freedom. Even the people that like the products I make may still dislike they way I draw, or the fact that my games focus on story instead of gameplay. What matters to me is that people get to interact with my content for free. While I do wish success for my fellow devs aiming to make a living, the world needs more free stuff anyway.

One thing that I didn't get to explain in #Devruary that I feel EVERY dev should understand:

A REALLY good practice for game development is to make sure the target audience learns of the game and doesn't forget about it (more in article, PLEASE READ)

...but AT LAST, the logic building for the entire game is done!

So I made this helpful little chart back when I made the storyboard to canonize the age range of the "Center 10" eternals of the Eternal Frenemies story!

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

Friendly reminder that the game's "present" timeline chronologically takes place right after the first two pages of the Eternal Frenemies #webcomic!

Now that the demo's been out for a month and some change, I can finally introduce him here.

You'll barely see him in the game, but he is very important to the webcomic and a project as a whole.

To celebrate the game's impending release, we've added The Knightling Pack and The Knightling Community Pack back to the Shop!
