#Devruary Though I am sticking with Ren'Py and drawing for now due to convenience, I would really like to learn 3D modeling and animation to build a hybrid VN game someday!

This Devruary thing has been lots of fun! Here's hoping it comes back next year!


I have Blender on my computer right now, but I have yet to acquire the drive for all the work needed to successfully turn my 2d characters into 3d models, let alone animate them.

I'm a storyteller more than anything, and Ren'Py has been very relaxing in terms of programming and story building, so I plan to use it as a base for as many of my projects as possible. For projects after the Return to Eternity game, I am heavily considering blending Ren'Py's visual novel gameplay with other types such as open-world exploration and/or turn-based battle that fits the narrative. I also have no qualms about learning either Blender or Live2d to make more dynamic, three-dimensional sprite animations.

All in all, I hope my Devruary posts let you learn a little more about me as a dev, I have to say I kinda did! Good luck to all my fellow devs out there, and let's try to finish whatever we start!

"Star-crossed lovers" and "interspecies romance". Cliche as they are, you will always find them in my work no matter the setting!

Okay, so the first 24 hours seem good....of course, the ten percent rule reared its ugly head, but the game did a little bit better than I hoped! The game has 50 followers!🙌🏼

Welp, it’s official:

The Return to Eternity VN game is up and playable for anyone with access to an internet browser! It may not have all the fancy UI elements planned, but the story and art are fully intact! I hope you enjoy and take the survey after!

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

So at this point, I have less than 24 hours to get the game ready for release.
