What do you think?

I love the old-school black and white comic book aesthetic here!

this actually looks great keep up the good work.

A man disappeared into the depths of a mysterious structure and you’re in charge of finding him. Steeped in a hazy gloom, the sounds of far-off thinking machines clatter away as you wander the empty halls. The subtle grind of hard discs spinning up and the flushing of pipes create an eerie melody as you descend further. The only remnants of the inhabitants left behind are fragmented memories or hallucinations scribed into stone at best.

DIRE is a low poly first-person interactive exploration simulator in a deep, hollow, and forgotten structure.

While exploring you'll find clues about the man you're sent to find and those who used to live and manage this place through journals, computer terminals, and monuments.

Dire 0.2.0 Build Update

We now have levels 3 and 4 in the game with continued narrative exploration. In this new level, we've added a few more mechanics. A 3-button switch element and jump boots for getting around this more free-form level.

New area in the 4th level. I've been slowly doing set dressing and getting the props in place. Next on the list is to take a first draft on the narrative for the level before adding it to the early access demo. My goal is end of July.

Still wrapping up scene decoration and the narrative for level 4. Just wrapped up a few tower sections. Hoping to have the demo updated here before the end of July.

Almost done with the additional environmental assets for the 3rd level. Now I can start focusing on set dressing and wrapping up the gameplay!

Some more props for the next level. Next week I will be focusing on mechanics so I might not have a screenshot, enjoy this one!

Starting to work on the intro area for level 3. Still a ways to go in over all level design but needed to get some art going this week. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Finally launched the early access demo. Stoked to move on and start working on the next level!

Got some more work done on the third level last night. Pretty stoked to have it wrapped and in a good spot by the end of the month for an early access release. Now to tune up some mechanics, add two more rooms, and get focused on the story!

Slowly working through the environment art for the 3rd level. It's taking a bit longer than I thought.

New screenshots uploaded!
