If Iโm going to redraw the NES version of Samus, then it feels wrong not to redraw the Metroid too.
I always preferred the incarnation in which the Metroid's had more substantial claws. I also tried to go for a swooping pose for added dynamism.

After doing the NES Peach sprite redesign yesterday, I had to do one for Samus too (I mean- how could I not 
).
Iโve included an alternate design that swaps the green out for grey, for some visual interest and improved clarity.
