5 months ago we posted a devlog showing the concept for the new options menu.
I've finally taken the art that @Scimitri created, put it together and made it work in game!


Revisiting previous areas with fully upgraded weapons can be quite fun sometimes! 🔥

The stage is now ready (I guess) and there's 6 more stages to make for the current world.


Here's a fun little NES programming trick I was shown tonight.
The problem: how to hide sprites that pass over HUD at the bottom of the screen?
The HUD isn't actually on a separate layer or anything, so how can I get sprites to go behind it? 🧵

















Thrown items have to bounce and splash, it's in the rules!















If you can't find a secret passage behind a waterfall, there's got to be one below them. 👀🌊
