"The Best Seihou Project fangame ever exists - CaraPrincess of Akira Akagi Games"

Also available on itch.io and RPG Maker Net!

Check out the itch version here!

The RPG Maker Net version is available here!

"Cannot find a fangame of the Seihou Project, the (pretty) obscure sister series of Touhou?

No problem, Akira of Akira Akagi Games has a solution to this by making a Seihou fangame on her own!

Muse Genkaroku - Cute girls, crosses and an isekai magical girl adventure - all rolled into one! The story of this Seihou fangame is inspired by both well-known magical girl anime such as Sailor Moon and Pretty Cure as well as the famous indie RPG by Toby Fox, Deltarune! Gameplay of this fangame is pretty similar to ARPGs such as the famed Zelda series, Chrono Trigger, and the Internet sensation Genshin Impact, so if you are acquainted with the combat of such games, you might get a familiar feeling with the combat style of Genkaroku! With the retro-styled art aesthetic by CaraPrincess and chiptune / retro game-styled tracks by Drillimation Systems, SarothCyngus and CP104, this will probably captivate retro game fans as well as Seihou and non-Seihou fans alike!

Warning:

This game contains religious content (includes, but most commonly, motifs). There's no intention of making fun of religious beliefs through this game, I just added them to this game because it looks visually stunning (the same excuse as Neon Genesis Evangelion). Please do not be offended by such content.

Ms. Safety sez: The game contains some graphics that might cause seizures! If you are unsure whether you have epileptic seizures or not, please consult the nearest doctor (or any doctor that you trust) for help before playing this game!

This is a fangame of the Seihou Project set in an alternate universe (AU) with some elements from the Touhou Project. Any similarities to the main Seihou series as well as Touhou are purely coincidental.

Note:

If your antivirus get upset because of the game, it is a false positive, and you have to exclude from the Windows Defender (or any antivirus that your computer have) settings.

I SWEAR THAT THERE ARE 100% NO VIRUSES IN GENKAROKU!

Special thanks:

Toby Fox: My Idol, creator of Undertale, and my biggest inspiration for creating this game. Thank you Mr. Toby, the most amazing person I've heard of. I love Undertale, and if you have time after I have released the full game, please check it out. Perhaps I'm the "child who aspires to become the next indie developer who likes Undertale" that you have spoken of!

ZUN (alt webpage (Twitter account): Korindo): Also one of my Idols, and the creator of Touhou Project! Thank you for the series and the amazing characters, and your permissive license to allow me to create this fangame (and my subsequent fangames)! I hope that I might get a license from you one day to sell my game through Steam!

Yanfly: Thank you for some of the plugins in the Free Starter Pack Essentials plugin collection that I uses for this game!

Moghunter: Thank you for some of your MV plugins that I uses to create my game! And can you please add an English description to your plugins? Those like me don't even understand the Portuguese description in your plugins.

Also thank you Mr. Fu for the remastered Game Jolt API plugin, which can be found at this site.

This is literally the game's development state now.

Due to several reasons, the development of this game is halted, but it is anticipated that the development of the game will be resumed soon.

These are the switches I use to handle player data (to check their current player character's scenario and check if they has cleared the game once and if they has cleared the game once with their selected character).

Okay. So after a while of thing, I realised that using two separate save files to handle player achievement is virtually impossible at the moment.

Who is ready for this awesome sh*t?

Ask Gamedev has yet to make a vid about games made in Pixel Game Maker. but when Daimonic Affright is released, then he (or they) is / are eager to make one, including DA and the other PGMMV-developed titles.

For those who is questioning about the legality of modifying my games' game files, I come up with a safer option to change the game's icon, but only for the desktop icon.

Okay. So this is my tip to change the icon of my game's executable.

WARNING: THIS IS FOR DOWNLOADABLE COPIES OF THE GAMES THAT YOU HAVE INSTALLED ON YOUR PC, NOT THE ZIP FILES I CREATED FOR DISTRIBUTION ON GAME DISTRIBUTION PLATFORMS!

Overusing the Undertale Battle System plugin for RPG Maker MV to recreate the Touhou attack system is a pain to me since it might generate massive memory leaks.

To create precise overworld danmaku, you need at least 100 events filling the borders of a single map...

And at least 10 maps to create a single simple Touhou-styled stage with dungeon crawling elements.

For the layout of the Catacombs, I created 10 maps filled with blank events that will act as where the overworld bullets could aim at.

These rooms will be populated with enemies that you must defeat, and created using an event spawner.
