He was introduced in WoW: Shadowlands which GLAAD said "marks a bold new inclusive direction for the seasoned MMO."

Gibraltar was the first Apex Legend confirmed to be part of the LGBTQ+ community! His commitment to protecting others began after his boyfriend died in a motorcycle accident.

Apex Legends writer Tom Casiello confirmed that Gibraltar is gay in 2020.
