Questions in Game Dev

When making a game, do you try to figure out the "perfect" way to do what you're trying to do, or do you just cobble something together until it works and leave it at that?

Asking because I do one of these, and it's not the one that favors progression. 😬

Working on rework of my Steam Page. Would you click on this Thumbnail or it is not sharing something catchy? After 100 changes I can't even clearly understand what is catchy.

so i just got the flashlight battery fully coded and got the mask recoded in fnas 2 dme demo (the mask was a little buggy if anyone is wondering) and im trying to figure out who's AI i wanna do first who do you guys think i should do first for the demo?
